My journey into counseling began long before I earned my professional credentials, it started with my own lived experiences. Growing up in a challenging environment, I faced adversity that shaped my resilience and deepened my empathy. At a young age, I was navigating life on my own, learning through trial, reflection, and perseverance how to heal and grow into a whole person. Along the way, I discovered that true wellness requires attention not only to the body, but also to the mind and spirit.
For over 15 years, I worked in holistic health and nutrition, founding Nourished 4 Life, a program that made a lasting impact in the community by helping people restore balance through nutrition and lifestyle changes. I later established The Balance Center, a wellness practice that integrates therapies such as light therapy, sound healing, and breathwork to support stress management and overall well-being. Through these experiences, I witnessed firsthand that mental and emotional healing is essential for sustainable health, this realization inspired me to pursue advanced training in counseling.
I hold a Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New England College, along with specialized training in Addiction Studies and Nutrition Counseling. In addition, I completed a four-year program in Clinical Medicinal Herbalism at the Chicago College of Healing Arts and earned certification as a Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. These trainings expanded my ability to integrate plant-based medicine, holistic nutrition, and lifestyle practices into my work, creating a stronger foundation for whole-person healing.
I am a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern (RCMHCI-MS) with experience providing both individual and group counseling in outpatient and community-based settings. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and collaborative. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic, and solution-focused modalities, integrating mindfulness, self-regulation strategies, and lifestyle awareness to support healing across mental, physical, and emotional dimensions.
I believe that healing is not just about reducing symptoms, it is about rediscovering peace, purpose, resilience, and facilitating growth. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their ability to thrive. My counseling approach is rooted in a whole-person philosophy, honoring the mind-body connection and integrating evidence-based practices with holistic methods. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients can work through life’s challenges, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful change.
Today, my mission is to walk alongside others as they heal, grow, and discover their capacity not just to survive, but grow.
