Jessica Lauren Schneider

My journey into counseling began long before I earned my professional credentials. Growing up in a challenging environment, I faced adversity that shaped my resilience, deepened my empathy, and inspired a lifelong commitment to healing and personal growth. Through my own experiences, I learned that true well-being requires caring for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. This understanding continues to guide my work, helping others find balance, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
For over 15 years, I worked in holistic health and nutrition, founding Nourished 4 Life, a program dedicated to helping individuals restore balance through nutrition and sustainable lifestyle changes. I later established The Balance Center, an integrative wellness practice offering therapies such as light therapy, breathwork, and sound healing to support stress reduction and overall well-being. Through this work, I witnessed firsthand the powerful connection between physical, emotional, and psychological health, inspiring me to pursue advanced training in counseling and expand my ability to support lasting transformation.
I hold a Master of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, along with certifications in Addiction Studies and Nutrition Counseling. In addition, I completed a four-year program in Clinical Medicinal Herbalism at the Chicago College of Healing Arts and earned certification as a Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. These diverse trainings have provided a strong foundation in behavioral health, nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle practices, allowing me to support healing from a whole-person perspective.
I am a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern (RCMHCI-MS) with experience providing both individual and group counseling in outpatient, inpatient, and community-based settings. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and collaborative, emphasizing mental wellness, nervous system regulation, and healthy aging through a whole-body approach. I draw from a client-centered approach, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic, and solution-focused modalities. Through mindfulness, self-regulation strategies, and lifestyle awareness, I support healing across mental, physical, and emotional dimensions.
I believe that healing is not just about reducing symptoms, it is about rediscovering peace, purpose, resilience, and facilitating growth. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their ability to thrive. My counseling approach is rooted in a whole-person philosophy, honoring the mind-body connection and integrating evidence-based practices with holistic methods. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients can work through life’s challenges, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful change.
Today, my mission is to walk alongside others as they heal, grow, and discover their capacity not just to survive, but grow.
